Kun Xie is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering. He received his Bachelor Degree (2009) in Transportation Engineering and Master Degree (2012) in Transportation Planning and Management from Tongji University. His specification research area is traffic statistic modeling, traffic safety analysis, incident and emergency management and transportation geography.

Abdullah Kurkcu

PhD Student, Research Assistant

Abdullah Kurkcu is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering. He received his Bachelor Degree (2008) in Civil Engineering from Istanbul University and Masters Degree (2012) in Transportation Engineering from Florida State University.  His research interests include traffic modeling and calibration, alternative traffic data collection systems, big data and analytics, GPS-based transportation data analysis, incident and emergency management, wireless sensor networks, social media analytics and transportation geography.

Ender Faruk Morgul

PhD Student, Research Assistant

Ender F. Morgul works as a graduate research assistant at Civil and Urban Engineering Department in New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering and Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP). He received his B.S. from Bogazici University and M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. His research interests include modeling and prediction of driver behavior, transportation economics, urban freight operations, big data and GPS-based transportation data analysis. His 2010 M.Sc. thesis investigated dynamic congestion pricing using large scale traffic simulations.
